In all these years we have implemented dozens, indeed hundreds of Corporate Digital Academies, and we have been following them for years working with companies from all over the world and in the most disparate fields. In addition to all the typical features of many LMS, Forma has some peculiarities that have proved to be strategic and fundamental, not only to quickly start these projects, but also to allow their evolution over time.
1) Adaptable User Management
In all of our Corporate DA projects it was essential to have a system based on solid and diversified user organization logics. To function well, a Digital Academy should exactly represent the organizational context, and not impose its own functional logic: it must allow you to group and diversify users according to various and flexible criteria, which can virtually "dress" any type of organization chart and organization.
2) Granular Administration
In general, Forma offers a very “fluid” management of user and administration levels, which makes it possible to interpret most of the administration needs of a DA. In corporate academies, for example, it is always necessary to be able to delegate tasks and visibility to collaborators and management teams, to department managers, or to representatives of different companies. However, every organization is different and there are no standards: exceptions are indeed the rule. This is why having such a granular system of profiles and administration permissions has proved essential in many projects that we have implemented.
3) Multi Company
In many projects it has been very useful to have native features that allowed us to diversify the user experience in various aspects. It happens in the academies of companies structured with different brands and branches, or who want to centrally manage both the training of employees and that of their sales network. And it happens to providers of elearning courses and services, who need to diversify graphics and configurations for different customers.
4) Automation and Integration
When things get complex, many repetitive and low value-added operational tasks tend to absorb energy that should instead be dedicated to more strategic activities. At this point, all those features that save time and resources become essential, through automation or integration solutions: Forma is full of them.
5) Extensibility
Natively, Forma already does many strategic things for any Digital Academy. But what happens when you have to implement custom mechanisms or functionalities to support your proprietary methodology, or some specific requirement of your field? Here, plugins come into play, that is, functionalities that integrate and extend Forma: there are ready-made ones, that you just buy and install, or those you can tailor to your purposes.
How Do you Create a Digital Academy?
We have prepared a map to guide you through all these aspects: after many years of experience and many DA created together with our customers, here is a small free ebook, a "practical guide for objectives" that summarizes and synthetically organizes all the important things to know and to do to build your successful Corporate Digital Academy.
